Supporting New Begining: If you are an International student arriving in Canada, register for Guru Nanak Food Bank's Welcome to Canada Program. Access essentials for a comfortable start.

GNFB Food Package Program

Guru Nanak Food Bank is a lifeline for those facing food insecurity in Surrey and Delta. Families, couples, and individuals struggling to afford groceries due to rising living costs find support here. From registration to distribution, our process ensures dignified access to essential food packages.

To become a recipient, follow these steps:

  1. - Register on our mobile app (iOS/Android) or website.
  2. - Book your first appointment, indicating it's your first time.
  3. - Bring the required documents to your appointment: proof of employment income (if employed), proof of financial support other than the employer, rental proof, government picture ID, and health cards for all dependents.
  4. - Pick up your food.

Book regular appointments through the GNFB app or website thereafter, ensuring continuous support.

Welcome to Canada Program.

Guru Nanak Food Bank extends a warm welcome to international students new to Canada. Our program provides vital comfort items—mattress pad, bed sheet, pillow, pillow cover, blanket, and a few simple toiletries.

To register, follow the same process as for our food packages:

  1. - Register on our mobile app (iOS/Android) or website.
  2. - Book your first appointment, selecting the option for new registrants and additionally the Welcome to Canada Program.
  3. - Bring the necessary documents to your appointment: student ID, passport, student permit, copy of landing date.
  4. - Collect your Welcome Kit.

Further appointments can be booked via the GNFB app or website. Welcome to a supportive community and a comfortable start in Canada.
